Project Description
GPA participated in the development of a new master plan for Palm
Springs International Airport. As a sub-consultant to HNTB, the lead
company on the project, GPA prepared planning and conceptual design for
the terminal complex in which several options were explored. The
recommended concept included an immediate action plan and a long term
development plan. The immediate action plan involved modification to
the existing processor. The long term plan envisioned a new processor
to be built south of the existing one. GPA is currently providing
special studies for the EIR that addresses compliance with
the city’s historic preservation ordinance for the existing terminal.
